Before any creation is finalized, it must undergo an exhaustive evaluation across 20 distinct criteria, categories including:
- Structural Integrity: Verifying the joint strength between the trunk and branches to ensure the piece completely withstands international transit and long-term display.
- Preservation Excellence: Utilizing scientific analysis to check full solution penetration, leaf/needle flexibility, and the absolute absence of discoloration.
- Artistic Perfection: Auditing the composition against the traditional principles of Shin, Fuku, and Uke, ensuring the precise geometric harmony and the profound aesthetic of “negative space” (Yohaku-no-bi).
Only pieces that achieve a perfect score across all 20 items are released into the world as JPBA-certified masterpieces.
